Adoptions

Was browsing loads of adoption pages these few days as Lala is thinking of adopting one. The aim in adopting is that she wants a pet and thinks that it'll be so much better adopting one and shower it with love instead of buying one and not give those abandoned and/or unloved pets a chance. As I was browsing through, I saw many of them trying to sell their current pet at a high price. A pet that had stayed with them for months or even years. Will I do the same thing too?

Ody: Mummy, I'll love you with all my heart no matter how much you scold/punish me for my wrongs.

In my point of view, a dog is a loyal companion who doesn't ask for more. It wouldn't ask for branded goods, bigger beds or even more toys. All it needs is your attention, care and love. It will not show displease even if you have punished him for the wrong doings. Instead, it will try all means to get your forgiveness and want you to love him more and shower him with loads of hugs and kisses. Despite these little wants from you, you are giving him up. Have you thought of how life will be without you? Have you thought of the happy moments you had been through together? All you can do is to rehome it to someone who you think will love it more than you do. Worse still, some let their dogs run out of their house or leave them somewhere far from home. Is this a humane way of handling an unwanted dog?

To those who are trying to get a dog, please do not only settle for a pure breed dog or a puppy. Please give these abandoned dogs a chance too. They too need love and to be loved.
